The Norfolk and Suffolk Guild of Weavers, Spinner and Dyers exists to promote and develop skills in the traditional crafts of hand weaving, spinning and dyeing. We are a friendly group and our membership includes people of all ages who live in Norfolk and Suffolk. We exist to encourage the development of our practical and artistic skills in our chosen craft(s) and to develop our knowledge about textiles. We have regular monthly meetings, often centering round a talk or demonstration by a nationally respected textile artist. We also arrange workshops aimed at developing and sharing skills and an annual visit to a place of interest to textile enthusiasts. We promote the guild through demonstrating and exhibiting at local events such as the February Makers' Month in the Forum, Norwich and Beccles' Charter Weekend in July. We welcome new members of all skill levels who share our passion for textiles and making.
